It was a pleasure to be out on the course today - blue sky and sunshine and the course in great condition. We had wonderful company, playing with Nigel and Sheena Asken and had lots of laughs along the way. Nigel was our star player. Peter's excuse was that he did not get to eat his sandwich at the half way mark. It is alleged that one Jim Forrester had absconded with Peter's sandwich, thinking that Carmen had left it in the fridge at the Pro Shop for him. I am not sure what excuse Sheena and I had but we enjoyed the day anyway & pity about the golf.
The Event of the day wasa 2 Ball Team + Single Stableford Event Mixed Men and Ladies.
We had 110 starters with 3 visitors from Everglades and Magenta Shores.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Lynn Puiatti had 5/4 par on the 2nd; Wendy Stapleton had birdies on the 10th and 14th; Tania Burt played with a pretty pink golf ball today which attracted a crow on the 18th - the crow was distracted away from the ball by crow calls by Chris Drakeford; Ron Puiatti had three birdies - 2nd, 10th and 11th; Terry Bowditch had a birdie on the 16th; Ronda & Bert Jordon both had 4 pointers; Robyn Johnston's highlight was finishing in the buffer; Julie Hazzard had a 5/4 on the 2nd; John Hazzard had four 3 pointers in a row; Arthur Haviland had eight 3 pointers in a row 13th through to the 2nd; Nigel Asken had 4/3 on the 17th; my highlight was a good putt at the 9th for a 3 pointer.
Other Highlights of note: Our JUNIORS played the first of three matches in the Eric Apperley Shield (Under 23) at Toukley today. They played Tuggerah Lakes and won the day 5 to 1/2. Congratulations to our Junior Representatives!
