F-Troopers Lyn Bates, Jan Martin and Leeanne Binns being creative at the new garden at 2B Tee.
F-Troop had another busy day today with a depleted number of volunteers for various reasons.
On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Don Nicholls, John Hollebon,
Lyn Bates, Leeanne Binns, Laurelle Freeman and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were firewood preparation; Firewood delivery; hedge maintenance and tidy up of the gardens at 2A; moving the excess plants from the 18th to a temporary shady area at 2A Tee area until we can find a permanent home for them ; planting in of the Hoya plant previously growing at the 18th tee garden; tidy up of the climbing vine at the 10th tee; tidy up of the 2B Tee area removing weeds and rubbish from the tee and levelling out the soil; creating a special garden at 2B including a new garden tricycle feature to add interest to the hole.
The course was very wet today after recent rain so we were restricted with heavy equipment. The course has been deemed unsuitable for play tomorrow. Hopefully we will not get too much more rain this week.
We enjoyed morning tea of fresh sandwiches which was a good reward after a hard mornings work.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
