On Thursday, the dribblers played at Nelson Bay, delivering a truly spectacular scorecard.
Four players at 40 points, Bobby Clark being the ultimate winner with Paul Smith and Dave Sillick second and third on a countback. Missing on a podium place was Chris Moffatt.
With only four players with scores in the twenties, the Bolter prize was hotly contested. The dubious honour went to Paul Buffey with Dean McCarthy the hero of Newcastle in second last.
Today is Maitland where the winner of the John Bullivant trophy and the Bolter award for last will be decided.
On a side note, on Wednesday, the Dribblers divided into two groups. The more adventurous players took the ferry to Hawks Nest to compete at the picturesque golf course. It was a mixed result with most finding the going harder than expected. Tony Callaghan was the winner in the group. The other Dribblers went punting with little to show for.
My thanks to Paul Scholberg for this report.
