The course was busy today with the Vets Christmas Golf Day so we needed to work our way around the golfers to complete our projects.

On hand we had 15 volunteers which was good as showers were forecast.

Volunteers were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Ray Cheal, John Hincksman, Rob Benson, David Medcalf, Peter Martin, John Hollebon, Frank Potter, Laurelle Freeman, Bev Way, Lyn Bates, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were Firewood preparation and stacking; Loose Timber and Rubbish pick up around the course; Hedge maintenance; Repair of the brakes on our yellow garden cart; work done to repair our work Ute; mowing and tidy up of the 18th garden and Camellia Way; Blowing of the paths on the 1st and 10th tees; tidy up and watering of the Ladies 2nd Tee Garden; weeding and tidy up of the 2nd green fence garden; new plants to the garden at the 5th tee; More work done on trimming back the lavenders on the 16th tee; weeding and trimming of the Streletzia Garden at the 15th Tee; cleaning of the bush toilets and watering the gardens there; pick up of loose timber and garden maintenance at the 14th tee gardens; watering the pots at the 16th Tranquility Garden; tidy up of the gardens at the 16th tranquility garden.

We certainly earned our morning tea of fresh sandwiches and were happy we did not have to contend with showers while we worked.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
