F- Troop Morning Tea - John Hollebon, Ron Gowing, Peter Martin, Trevor Harrison, Paul Smith, Don Nicholls, Kevin O’Brien, Duncan Dyer (Jan Martin)
Old hedge removed and ready for replacement plants
After more than 60 mls of rain the course was very wet and no carts or heavy equipment were allowed on the course. There was social golf only so we were able to work around the 1st and 10th tees.
We had 9 volunteers today which was really good considering we would be restricted with what work we could do. On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Paul Smith, Ron Gowing, John Hollebon, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on were : hedge maintenance, preparation for painting the Sand Bucket Frames, removal of old hedge plants in the centre garden at the 10th tee, trimming of shrubs at the new putting green, drainage holes in water logged plants, trimming of the tibouchina plants in the centre garden at the 10th tee, clean up under the clubhouse and paths to the 1st and 10th tees, practice nets, installation of the new cistern at the Men’s toilet at the 14th.
We had a very small shower of rain mid morning but it was not enough to stop work.
We all appreciated morning tea after a hard mornings work.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
