wind damage at the 18th Tee Garden - the branch narrowly missed "Anne's Camellia"
It was a bit chilly when the wind decided to blow - otherwise a lovely sunny day
on the Village Green.
Our playing partners were Owen and Fran James who were
great company made all the better by Fran's nice 39 points today that made her
the star of the day.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball
Team.
We had 97 starters with 2 Visitors from Everglades.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Fran James had a nice 39
points that included 5 x 3 pointers; Owen James hit some great trick shots- over
the trees at the 7th to the green and hit through the right hand bunkers on the
13th onto the green; Peter Martin parred all of the par 3's; Ray Buttsworth had
a birdie at the 1st and 10th,Pars on the 14th and 17th - score of 44; Carolyn
Buttsworth had pars on the 2nd, 12th, 14th and 16th; Rhonda Robertson had a par
on the 9th and 7th; Garry Baillie had a par on the 3rd and the 16th; Wal
Robertson had to wait for a Red Belly Black Snake on the 17th; Steve Cross had a
Par on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 10th; Annette Cross had pars on the 5th, 8th, 14th
and 15th; Annette Cross and Rhonda Robertson won Keno $120; clyde Cruickshanks
had a birdie on the 10th; Lyn Cruickshank scrambled all day; Leonie Kelly had
4/4 via adventurous route on the 4th; Peter Lack had a birdie on the 15th; Brett
Margin dive bombed by a birdie twice on the practice fairway (why were you on
the practice fairway Brett?); Paul Scholburg played well yesterday - his best
shot today was on the 10th - 310 metres (give or take); Helen Stuart had a good
front 9 - fell to bits on the back 9; Ron Puiatti had birdies on the 3rd, 10th
and 12th; Col Matterson (on his birthday) had birdies on the 2nd, 12th, 13th and
16th; Liz Robinson had 40 points including a sandy on the 14th for par; Steve
Robinson had birdies on the 8th and 15th; Sam Knox had a birdie on the 10th;
Peter Lack had a birdie on the 1st; Chris O'Shea had a gobbler on the 5th from
