We had a great number of F-Troopers in attendance today - all except for Trevor Harrison who has taken an excursion to South Australia (while he can).
On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Sam Knox, Kevin O’Brien, Steve Hogg, Rob Benson, Steve Robinson, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Ron Gowing, John Hollebon, Nigel Asken, Di Beechey and Jan Martin.
After the wild winds of the weekend we had a lot of loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course.
We were all hands on deck picking up all we could. The tree maintenance was done with a lot of broken branch pick up, tidy up of the area between the 2nd dam and the island where I believe 40 lost balls were found.
The front of the clubhouse was cleaned up including the 1st and 10th tees, Wedding Garden, Putting Green and Practice Nets. Camellias at the 18th were staked and secured from the wild winds; weeds were removed from the 3rd dam; the Practice Nets Gardens we’re cleaned out; the Bush Toilets at the 14th were cleaned and tidied including pick up of loose timber and trimming of shrubs; the 6th Tranquility Garden was tidied up and some weeding done on the 6th Native Garden; the gardens in the 14th green-space gardens were watered, the pots at the 6th tee, Bike Garden and Ladies 8th Tee Garden were watered.
We were appreciating our Morning Tea in the sunshine after a hard mornings work.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
