Most of us managed to escape the late rainfall today and we were lucky enough to finish in good time to miss the first of the showers. Our playing partners were Duncan and Rosalie Dyer and we did manage To get some good highlights - the best of which was beating the boys for the Keno ticket.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + a Team 1 x 2 x 3.
We had 101 Starters with 9 visitors from Killara, Woolooware, Toukley, Belmont, Moore Park, Pymble, Avondale.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Denise Bentlin had a 3/4 on the 15th; John Hazzard enjoyed a nice walk in the park; Phil Baillie enjoyed his first day at Gosford Golf Club; Kas Coventry had a nice 18 points on the front 9; Mark Stimpson was happy to finish before the rain; Peter Clare enjoyed a nice score of 39 points and came in Runner Up in the Mens Singles and included 5 pars and 2 birdies; Carolyn Buttsworth was a star for booking the team in early start to avoid the rain; Alice Diamond had a good first 9; Clyde Cruickshanks had a birdie on the 12th and hit the flagstick on the 14th which could have been a birdie; Peter Martin parred the 10th; Duncan Dyer sank a long putt on the 14th for a par; Neville Walker has 3 pointers on the 15th/16th and 18th; Pat O’Flaherty from Belmont Golf Club enjoyed his first game of golf at Gosford including 2 good pars; Vicki Foster had no wipes and had 4 x 3 pointers; Lauren Matterson played steady golf; Carolyn Buttsworth was putting for 4 points at the 3rd and 9th and had to settle on 3 pointers; Kevin O’Brien had a 3 pointer on the 1st hole; Eddie Rogers, Robbie Whyte, Ian Rutherford and Derek Kidd - all square in the skins; my highlights were scoring more than 30 points (narrowly missed out on winning a ball), beating the boys for the keno ticket, hitting a great sand wedge onto the 18th green with a 1 putt for a 2 pointer - plus finishing with the same ball I started with.
