It is with great sadness that I tell of the passing of our very long time Member Anne Burgess who passed away unexpectedly yesterday just days away from her 80th birthday.
Anne has been an A Grade golfer as long as I have been at the club and has played as low as a handicap of 6.
Anne will also be remembered (especially by me) for all the work she has put into keeping our gardens beautiful and has worked many hours each week with F-Troop and on her own time. Every time I walk through Camellia Way I will think of her and her contribution to keeping that area in pristine condition.
I understand that at Anne's request there will not be a funeral.
Rest in Peace Anne - you will be sadly missed.
