We had a beautiful day for golf today and we had a good day on the village green with Shane and Odette Carty who were great company - our best highlight was bringing home the Singles Winner Shane who scored a very nice 39 points.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2Ball Team Mixed Men and Ladies.
We had 60 starters

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Odette Carty had 5/4 on the 2nd, shot a beautiful ball into the 9th green from 170 yards out; Shane Carty had a nice 39 points including 4/4 and a great shot from the 3rd fairway onto the 4th green; Peter Martin had a nice 4/3 on the 9th; Anne Burke had 4/4 on the 3rd, no lost balls or bunkers; Elly Van Den Berg was an improved player; Jan Van Den Berg had 21 points on the front 9; Cheryl Davison had a gobbler on the 3rd; Fay Bailey was on the 15th green for 2, had 3 pars; Craig Ward had a FRAT on the 3rd hole which cost him 4 beers; Denise Bentlin had a gobbler 4/4 on the 13th and 3/4 on the 12th; Annie Brink finished; Fran James had 4/3 on the 15th and also on the 16th; Terry Coyle had a gobbler 3/4 on the 15th; Ray Buttsworth had birdies at the 12th and the 14th and 4 pointers on the 2nd and the 10th, Carolyn, Clyde and Lyn were his support team; Brent Frewin had a birdie on the 16th; Anne Forrester was an improved player; Doug Incoll was happy to be there; Dick and Joyce Bosley scored two points over the six worst scores to count which was overshadowed by the news that Dick is going to be a great grandfather for the second time; Kevin O'Brien had birdied the 15th 3/3, 4/3 at the 9th, 3 pointers at the 11th and the 3rd; Neville Walker had 4/3 at the 15th; Lorraine Bignall had 4/3 at the 17th; my highlight was that I was an improved player almost doubling my score from last week and had a couple of three pointers.
