We had a nice crisp morning to start our F-Troop projects this morning.
We had eleven volunteers which was great for a winter's morning. On hand were Trevor Harrison, Geoff Bridge, Duncan Dyer, Warren Gray, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Don Nicholls, Anne Burgess, Di Beechey, Carolyn Buttsworth & Jan Martin.
The Tree gang had a big project to start the day which was removing a dangerous pine from the Green Keepers parking area. The tree was cut down & removed skillfully by our tree gang. They then went on to do more undercutting jobs around the course.
Warren Gray & Rob Benson did rubbish pick up around the course.
Peter Martin organised the troops, did rubbish pick up, fixed the broken fence at the 18th tee with the help of Don Nicholls.
Geoff Bridge delivered a load of mulch out to the 14th for us before backing up the Tree Gang with timber pickup.
Di Beechey, Carolyn Buttsworth and Anne Burgess cleaned up around the car parks and clubhouse before assisting me with the mulching jobs at the 14th and watering the gardens there. Anne helped me at the Bush Toilet area to mulch and water the gardens there and clean up. Anne then watered the gardens at the front of the clubhouse while I went on the weed the garden and trim the shrubs at the back of the Men's 5th Tee, pruned the hydrangeas and the Hibiscus in the front garden at the clubhouse as well as watering the gardens at the 1st and 10th, the Wedding Garden pots and behind the putting green.
Morning tea of mini slices were very welcome after a hard morning's work. Thanks Chef Brad!
After morning tea Peter Martin & Trevor Harrison purchased items for next week's F-Troop Project
while I finished the gardens at the front of the clubhouse.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
