Our course was busy today with the AHA Social Golf Day which was marred with bad weather. We were lucky and got most of our projects done before the heavy showers moved in.
We had eleven volunteers this morning which was great considering it was a miserable day for working and we were restricted in our use of the course.
We had Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Warren Gray, Rob Benson, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Carolyn Buttsworth and Jan Martin on duty today so progress could be made.
The Tree Gang of Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge and Trevor Harrison prepared logs for splitting to stock up for our next year's firewood supply.
Don Nicholls & Peter Martin repaired a water filter in the Club Coffee Machine and then Don helped out at the wood pile.
Rob Benson replaced a broken support pole at the 17th green pathway after helping Warren Gray with the rubbish pick up..
Anne Burgess weeded the front street garden and tidied up the BBQ area.
Di Beechey & Carolyn Buttsworth worked on the garden behind the putting green, planting in new azaleas and tidying plants in the garden.
I planted in a new Orange Jasmine and fertilized the garden at the 14th green to complete the garden there, cleaned up at the bush toilet area, fertilized the orange trumpet plants at the 14th, helped out at the putting green garden, tidied up the lavender garden at the 16th including replacing some of the lavenders and trimming back the deadwood.
Morning tea of mini sweet cakes was welcome after a cold drizzly morning. Thanks Chef Brad!
After morning tea the boys dismantled the old timber table outside the club that had reached it's use by date.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
