Golf - Tuesday 18th March 2014 - St Patrick's Day

We had a fun day today playing in the Irish Multiplier and the course was lit up with shirts of all colours of green and orange to get into the spirit of the day.  We had a lovely fine day that got quiet hot towards the last half of the match.  My playing partner was Georgina Lamb together with Annie Brink and June Bowen.  We had a lot of laughs and could not believe that we did not win the Wooden Spooners prize as the golf was a bit ordinary.  None of the scores in general were very high so that made me feel a bit better.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford + 2 Ball Irish Multiplier - St Patrick's Day.

We had 70 starters with one visitor - Norma Cubis from Wyong.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  There may not have been too many highlights today judging by the scores but I did not get around all the tables to gather any up - those I do know of:  Annie Brink sank a 70 foot putt on the 6th green from the edge of the green; not to be outdone - Christine Drakeford did exactly the same putt at the same hole; June Bowen's highlight was winning the raffle; my highlight was winning a ball.
