We had a very busy day at Gosford Golf Club today - Social Clubs playing Golf pre competition, followed by the District A Grade Pennants, the normal Sunday Competition and further social players. In addition to all of that we had a 9 o'clock wedding in the Wedding Garden followed by a Wedding Breakfast in the Magnolia Room. Busy, busy, busy and isn't that great!
The Wedding menu was interesting - sausages, scrambled eggs, hash browns etc - very novel and literally a Wedding Breakfast.
The course was in great condition following the huge rainfall of last Wednesday - the deluge drained beautifully from the course and into the dams.
Our playing partners today were my brother Phil Smith from Moree and his lovely wife Lorraine. Phil & Lorraine were not very impressed with all our trees and bunkers (there are no bunkers on the Moree Golf Course). We did have a great day on the village green with some good highlights. Peter was the champion of the day scoring 39 points and the boys beat the girls for the Keno ticket.(Hmmmm!)
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team Mixed Men and Ladies.
We had 64 starters with 3 visitors from Moree and The Springs.

Another highlight this week for those of you who would have watched the South Sydney/Saints Rugby League Match - John & Julie Hazzard's grandson Alex Johnston played for the winning side. Alex also scored the first try in the Holden Cup. Congratulations John & Julie - You have a winner there!
