We had a good day for F-Troop today - not too hot earlier.
We had 12 volunteers to share the load which was good because we had some heavy projects underway.
On hand were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Rob Benson, Garry Trigg, Warren Gray, Peter Martin, Nigel Asken, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Carolyn Buttsworth, Jan Martin.
The boys took on the daunting task of clearing out the gutter along the side of the school. This gutter gets full of rubbish and weeds which is a problem in time of heavy rain. The area looks much better now.
Nigel Asken worked on clearing weed and mud from around the pipes of the dam between the second and third fairways which was a big task.
Anne Burgess cleaned up around the BBQ area and her camellias.
Di Beechey and Carolyn Buttsworth cleaned up under the clubhouse and car parks, gave the bike garden some TLC, helped me to plant in some new lavenders at the 16th; cleaned up the garden on the path from the 14th to the 15th.
I worked on planting in the lavenders at the 4th and 16th, tidied up at the Ladies 3rd tee; cleaned up at the bush toilets; weeded the garden at the 2nd tee and cleared the path of weeds
Morning tea of fruit pastries was appreciated by all. Thank you Chef John!
The rain this week was wonderful. Our dams are full and the gardens are very happy. The weeds are loving it too - so much to do - so little time!
YES! WE CAN MAKE A FIFFERENCE!
