We had a full on day at F-Troop today getting a major project completed with a very professional finish thanks to the combined skills of our F-Troopers.
On hand we had Geoff Bridge, Rob Benson, Richard Casey, Trevor Harrison, Nigel Asken, Peter Martin Warren Gray, Garry Trigg, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.
Di Beechey and Anne Burgess were hard at it very early in the morning managing to get the car park and the BBQ area cleaned up before going out on the course using the garden blower to clean off the tees at the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and the 17th areas. The blower certainly makes a difference to our work load on the tees also cleaning up at the 1st and 10th tees after we had finished our other work there today.
All the boys collectively took on the badly needed repair work to the rock wall at the back of the Men's 10th tee. The water overflow was weakening the wall and it was only a matter of time before the wall would have fallen down. The boys placed fill, Ag pipe, gravel & finished off with concrete to seal off the water flow.
Nigel Asken put in some hard yards removing some more crab grass off the Men's 10th tee and also taking a turn at using the garden vacuum to clear the 1st and 10th tees.
I was busy trimming some of the hedges, watering the new garden and cleaning up the tees.
We were a little restricted with our work at times with the Seniors Pennants Teams on the course today.
Morning tea was very welcome with Chef John supplying us with gigantic muffins which were a challenge. Thanks Chef John!
We gave the garden vacuum cleaner a try out after morning tea at the1st and 10th tees and finished off with the garden blower so the whole area looks neat and tidy.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
