At first light this morning and into the early part of the morning I could not see how golf could happen today. We had rain overnight & into the morning looking very settled in. By 10.00 the blue sky was showing and it had got quite hot. By 11.00am there was no question that golf would be on and there were a lot of happy people over at the Golf Club especially so when we all had our rounds of golf in hot, but eased by a nice breeze and no sign of rain until well after the last round of golf was completed.
Our playing partners today were George and Vicki Foster and we had a great day out on the village green - especially when we beat the boys for the Keno ticket on the second last hole with a brilliant approach shot from Vicki who went on to score 4/4 to win the day for the girls.
The Event of the day was a Team Stableford 1 X 2 X 3 + Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.
We had 111 starters with 5 visitors from Nambucca Heads, Stoneleigh UK, Terrigal and Toukley.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Wally Robertson had 4 pointers on the 15/16/17 and 18th holes; Kath Small played a nice steady game; Wendy Stapleton had a birdie on the 10th; Ray Stapleton was a good player out of luck; Doug Incoll had 40 points; Robin Incoll parred the 1st; Des Wilson parred the 18th after being in the dam; Yvonne Wilson & Robyn Johnston beat the boys for the keno ticket; Neville Walker had 4/4 on the 11th; Tania Burt had 3/4 on the 8th; Spencer Walklate had 4/4 on the 10th and 4/4 on the 18th; Rosalie Dyer had 4/4 on the 13th; Leanne Binns had 5/4 on the 2nd and scored 40 points; Rosalie & Leanne beat the boys soundly for the Keno ticket; Clyde Cruickshanks had a birdie on the 10th (after scoring an "EAGLE" on the 10th yesterday); Kevin O'Brien was a good player out of luck; Lyn Cruickshanks had a gobbler for a par on the 16th; Judy Verlander had a birdie on the 2nd; Rhonda Robertson sank a good putt on the 7th to square with the boys; George Foster parred the 14th/ 13th and 16th holes; Vicki Foster sank a long putt on the 4th for a par and had the shot of the day on the 17th with her 8 iron shot to the green - scoring 4/4 to annihilate the boys from the keno ticket; my highlights were a gobbler on the 7th for a par, a par on the 8th and 5/3 on the 9th and at long last scoring more than 30 points.
