We had a lovely day at golf today with our partners Norma & Ray Presdee who are great company. Peter had a wonderful day scoring an easy 44 points obviously being inspired by Ray Presdee who had scored 44 points the day before ( see Golf report for Saturday 27th March 2010). The boys won the keno ticket which we did not mind as Peter had played so well.
It was rather a hot day tempered by a little breeze which helped and there were a lot of good scores as you can see by the results.
The Event of the day was a 2 Ball team + Single Stableford Mixed Mens and Ladies + NSW Mixed 4BBB Qualifying Round.
We had 115 starters with 6 visitors from Corowa, Everglades, Magenta Shores, Tanilba Bay and Terrigal.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Peter Martin had a birdie on the 4th and scored a nice even 44 points (22 points front and back); John Hazzard had a gobbler on the 1st for 4/3; Wally Bailey had 39 points (Hooray!); Bob Knox had a birdie at the 1st hole; Jim Forrester had no highlights today but was still on a high from holing in a chip on the 2nd on Wednesday; Michael Norman almost got a hole in one at the 5th; Lyn Cruickshanks played a lovely steady game and always got herself out of trouble with a great recovery shot; Clyde Cruickshanks had a birdie on the 16th; Gary Sammons had a birdie on the 13th only 2" off an eagle shot; Bert Brink had a birdie on the 6th; Warren Gray had a birdie on the 15th and on the 18th had a super drive which just caught the metal hoops at the walkway & finished up nearly back at the ladies tee; Doug Incoll had 22 points at the turn; Bruce White had a birdie at the 8th for 2/4; Robin Incoll had a nice par 4/4 on the 4th; Shirley Daly had 4/4; my highlight was scoring a 5/3 on the 9th to get on the 2 Ball team score sheet between Peter's scores.
Another highlight during the week was Ron Puiatti scoring a HOLE-IN-ONE at St Michael's and rumours have it that the prize for that was $1,000 worth of red wine.
It's your shout Ron! CONGRATULATIONS!
On a much sadder note : the funeral for the late Craig Elton (Reggie) will be held this coming Wednesday at 1.30 pm.
