Monday was a Public Holiday so there was no official F-Troop work to be done. As it was such a nice day Martin Gallagher & I took the opportunity to plant a couple of Ebelia "Fracis Mason" plants at the back of the temporary 2nd green and re-positioned the Golden Penda to compliment the area. These new plants were purchased with funds raised from the sale of timber from the course. We also took the opportunity to tidy up & trim some trees around the course & remove old exhausted natives and treat weeds from the 6th so that the area can be prepared for fresh shrubs.
I noticed that a fresh lot of orchid flowers have appeared at the 14th so I hope these flowers will remain for all the Members to enjoy. We should see flowering right through to August if we can manage to keep the plants intact. If any of our Members witness suspicious behaviour that implies plants have been stolen or destroyed please report your findings to the golf office.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.
We had 70 starters with 9 visitors from Castle Hill, Gordon, Magenta Shores, Northbridge, Terrigal, The Vintage and Tuggerah Lakes.
