Easter Sunday turned out to be a perfect day for golfing, blue sky and sunshine in the morning and a nice calming cloud cover in the afternoon & NO RAIN! What a bonus!
I was not intending to play golf today as Peter is away. However with very little effort Norma Presdee succeeded in changing my mind. Norma was unable to play today so I filled in for her in a team event with Ray Presdee, Wally & Rhonda Robertson. We had a good first nine holes with everyone contributing to the score - however the wheels fell off a little on the back nine. The girls were 3 holes up for the Keno Ticket at the 15th hole & let the boys scramble back for a draw at the 18th.
The Event of the day was a Team Event with two scores to count of the Men's five pars, Three scores to count on the four pars and four scores to count on the three pars plus a Singles Event.
We had 83 starters with 10 visitors from Canada, Gordon, Kogarah, New Brighton, Oatlands, Roseville, Terrigal and Terry Hills.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Robin Incoll had 38 points to get runner up and was also celebrating her birthday (check out the birthday bracelet in the photo above); Mark Stimpson is celebrating his birthday tomorrow: Annie Brink had a birdie on the 5th; Des Wilson got nearest the pin with an 18ft putt to come (missed the putt); Rumour has it that "someone" had an airswing on the putting green today (as this is for highlights - no name will be mentioned).
Spencer Walklate had some highlights from his Saturday's game: On the 7th he hit his drive to the left into the pine trees and had an almighty airswing for his second shot trying to get out of the trees; on the 15th he put his second shot into the dam, took his punishment penalty & chipped his next shot into the hole to score 4/3 - now that is what I call a highlight! Well done Spencer.
On Wednesday last a few of the golf girls got together meeting at Fay Bailey's - taking a lovely luncheon and a few bottles of wine to cheer her up while she is "out of golf" with an injured foot.
Fay is recovering well and can now move around with a protective shoe to keep her safe.
We are looking forward to Fay getting back to golf and having a full recovery from her injury.
