We had a beautiful day for golf and weddings today - the course looked beautiful viewed from our reception rooms where we had two weddings.

The Golf Event of the day was a Men's Single Stableford + Teams Event 1 X 2 X 3.

We had 182 starters with 5 visitors from Bayview, Kareela, Kooindah Waters, Richmond & Virginia Qld.

Curtis took out second place in the Primary School
Golf Tournament played at Bankstown on Wednesday
21st November and Thursday 22nd November 2012
with rounds of 85/85 gross and finished in the top 10
in Australia.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Sheila Williams had her photo taken for the blog for the first time; Linda Rogers got onto the 18th green for 3; Julie Hazzard, Norma Cubis & Anne Cropley had two 3's on the 15th; Michelle McGrath had birdies on the 2nd, 6th, 10th & the 18th; Margaret Nichols had 3/4 on the 8th; Di Thomlinson, Lynda Hartley, Sue Scobie & Kath Small had 7 points on the 11th, Leonie Casey had 4/4 at the 3rd; Susan Bourne had a 4 pointer; Wendy Stapleton had a birdie on the 18th, Kay Adams had a 4 pointer, Georgina Lamb had 4/4 on the 1st; Bev Adams, Rosemary Cohen, Carol Farrell & Jan Fitzgerald had 8 points on two holes; our highlights were getting two 3 pointers twice and sinking some nice long putts. 

F-Troop - Monday 19th November 2012







It was another busy day for F-Troopers today with many projects on hand to take care of.

We had Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Martin Gallagher, Rob Benson, Richard Casey, Garry Trigg, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Jan Martin, Di Beechey & Anne Burgess to share the load.

The Tree Gang of Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Garry Trigg, Trevor Harrison & Don Nicholls and Martin Gallagher took care of some more undercutting the 9th and the 10th after they had picked up rubbish at the car park and behind the practice nets..

Peter Martin, Rob Benson & Richard Casey took care of mulching of the wedding garden, Rob & Richard then took care of the re seating the concrete edging on the 17th tee and trimming of the camellias at the 10th & 11th.

Anne Burgess and Di Beechey did some good clean up work in the car park and BBQ area and worked in Camellia way trimming the camellias.  Di helped with the mulching and raking at the wedding garden area.

Peter Martin took care of the supervision of the mulching of the wedding garden repaired the watering system at the 1st and 10th; helped with the fence repair & moved mulch to the 18th for the camellia gardens, re-staked the roses at the wedding garden.

I spent the day moving mulch onto the wedding garden, trimmed more shrubs in the front garden, watered the wedding gardens, cleaned up the practice nets, dead headed and re-staked the roses at the putting green, cleaned up at the 1st and 10th tees.

Morning tea of croissants and jam was very much appreciated after a hard mornings work.  Thanks Chef John!

We received in excess of $40 in donations from members via the donation box in the Pro Shop and including $20 from George Foster.  Our appreciation to the Members that see fit to donate their cash to F-Troop.  All monies received go towards the beautification of our course including the purchase of work tools for our troopers.  THANK YOU MEMBERS!

Grey skies turned to blue for our golf at Gosford today. Our playing partners were Ron & Lynn Puiatti and we had a good day on the village green. The boys beat the girls for the keno ticket on the 17th but aside from that we had a very enjoyable day.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Event for Men and Ladies + CCDGA Challenge Cup Final.

We had 107 starters with 50 visitors from Everglades, Magenta Shores, Mangrove Mountain, Morisset, Mt Coolum Qld, Shelly Beach, Terrigal, Toukley & Wyong.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me:  Ron Puiatti had a birdie on the 15th; Vicki Morris had a birdie on the 14th; George Foster's highlight was beating Vicki & Lynne for the keno ticket; Lauren Matterson had two 4 pointers and played steady golf; Col Matterson had birdies at the 2nd, 5th, 6th and the 16th - at the 5th hole Col's playing partner Geoff Darkes, hit his drive just short of the 5th green and Col's second shot cannoned off of Georff's ball and into the hole for a birdie (can't help good luck!!!!); Bert Brink had a 2/4 birdie on the 12th out of the bunker; Annie Brink chipped in on the 9th; Ron Dekker had a birdie 4/4 on the 2nd; Neville Walker had pars on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th and had 39 points; Jan Walker had a chip in on the 6th out of the bunker; Wyong Team had a good day with their highlight being - turning up and having some nice cakes out of the esky; Russell Stark (Wyong) had a birdie on the 14th; Norm Hollis (Wyong) had a birdie on the 10th;  Anne Forrester had 4/4 on the 3rd; and beating the boys for the keno ticket; Sunanta Duangwaw had 42 points including 3 pars in a row including 3 putting five greens; Robyn Johnston was an improved player; Kay Frewin had a chip in on the 2nd for 5/3 and had 4/4 on the 4th; Leanne Binns had a birdie on the 8th; John Storey got a birdie of the feathered kind; my highlight was a birdie on the 14th.
