Golf - Sunday 11th April 2021

Autumn has arrived at last (after a long summer) the cooler breeze was a bit of a shock today and we had to actually pull out jumpers at stages through the day when the sun disappeared and the wind chill factor took hold.

Our playing partners today were Peter and Sandy Laybutt who were great company - my support partner was  Paul Scholberg (who was also great company) who filled in for Peter who was suffering from a muscle injury - thank you Paul. The girls did beat the boys convincingly and in fact out drove them on two occasions. Thanks to Peter for driving Miss Daisy today.

Appeal for large used men’s golf shoes

Recently the golf shoes on the garden at the 2nd green have been removed by persons unknown.

I intend to replace the golf shoes with new refreshed ones.

I will need about 8 large men’s golf shoes - preferably leather or something solid enough to withstand the elements.

I will paint them, put a cover of marine paint on the top to make them more weatherproof. The succulents can be culled from our existing gardens,

If you can help out with some old golf shoes you wish to discard please leave them at the Pro Shop.

Thanking you in advance.
