We had a perfect weather day for our F-Troop projects and 13 volunteers was very helpful in achieving our goals.
On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Dave Scifleet, Dave Medcalf, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Ron Gowing, Bev Way, Lyn Bates, Leeanne Binns and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were undercutting of trees around the course (seven trailer loads); loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course; painting of the repaired fence at the 18th fairway; tidy up and watering of gardens at the 18th; mulching and watering of the new garden at the 1st tee; maintenance of the water feature at the BBQ garden; clean up of paths around the clubhouse, paths to the 1st and 10th tees, paths to the practice nets; tidy up of 10th tee garden; clean out of the garden at the ladies 2nd tee; watering of gardens and planting in new plants at the Bees corner (2nd green to 3rd and 5th tee); finishing off the weeding and removal of seeding palm trees at the Men’s 15th Tee Garden; cutting off past their use by date flowering Agves at the 14th Bush Toilets.
We enjoyed some lovely fresh sandwiches and wraps for morning tea.
