We had a wonderful sunny and warm day for golf today which was the highlight of most of our golfers.
Our Playing Partners were Col and Lauren Matterson who were great company and even though the golf was not fantastic we did have some highlights - the best of which was Col’s birdie at the 10th.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + 2 Ball Team Mixed.
We had 91 starters with 7 visitors from Mullumbimby, Shelly Beach, Gordon, Cumberland, Boonah and Howlong.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Col Matterson had a birdie on the 10th; Peter Martin scored 5/3 at the 18th to win the Keno Ticket for the Men; Lauren Matterson has 4 opportunities to get a 3 pointer that missed by a whisker; Vicki Foster played steady golf and the girls beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; Kay Baillie had a 4 pointer; Anthony Higgs enjoyed his day of golf; Carolyn Buttsworth had no wipes and the girls beat the boys for the Keno Ticket; Steve Turner had a birdie at the 10th; Duncan Dyer had a 4 pointer at the 17th; Rosalie Dyer sank a long putt on the 17th and had 2/4 at the 5th; Brent Frewin, Anne Forrester, Leonie Kelly and Brett Margin all parred the 8th and had 3 pointers at the 9th; Michael Cheetham sank a 60 foot putt at the 17th; Clyde Cruickshanks had birdies at the 1st and 2nd; Lyn Cruickshanks did some good putting for her 35 points; my highlight was getting 1 x 3 pointer. Congratulations to all our golfers who said they enjoyed the day albeit playing bad golf - they were on the same course as me. It takes a special gift to be able to do that. We will be back next week for more.
