John & Julie Hazzard - Winners of the Team Event.
The Men's Singles and the Ladies Singles
With Carolyn & Ray Buttsworth
at the 1st Tee
The weather forecast was correct today - blue skies and sunshine with very cold winds - temperature forecast was 15 degrees but felt like 13 degrees with the wind chill factor.
Our playing partners were Ray & Carolyn Buttsworth and we did have some varying highlights, the best of which was probably Peter's putt on the 17th of 15 metres into the hole for a plus.
I think we were all very happy to reach the warmth of the 19th hole today!
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Par + 2 Ball Team.
We had 67 starters with one visitor from Toukley.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Peter Martin had a 15 metre putt on the 17th for a plus; Julie Hazzard barely survived a falling branch today on the 7th hole (a windy day danger) but managed to play on to win the Team Event and the Ladies Event of the day; Ray Buttsworth was on the 18th green for 3; John Hazzard had plus 3 with only two wipes; Wally Robertson hit a big drive into the wind on the 18th; Joyce Bosley was an improved player; Arthur Collien thought he may have beat the course record for the most number of wipes in a par match; Brent Frewin had a birdie on the 6th; Fran James had a nice game - parring the 18th hole; Wally Loschi chipped in on the 18th hole through all the debris on the green; Garry Trigg parred the 15th; Cheryl Davidson & Georgina Lamb enjoyed good company; Kay Baillie's highlight was the warm clubhouse; Clyde Cruickshanks had a birdie on the 9th; My highlight apart from finishing was two pluses in a row.
