My playing partners were Alice Diamond, Annette Cross & Carolyn Buttsworth and we had a fun day working our way through the jokers day scoring where we each were given either a heart, spade, diamond or club status and scored accordingly for the team event. We had some good highlights, the best of which were coming in 3rd place in the Team Event.
The Golf Event of the day was played as a Stableford Game, but it was all about the team results so there was no handicapping or singles results. The girls looked resplendent in their choices of green or orange . The name of the game was "Joker Day" which I now understand after playing the game.
We had 84 starters.
RESULTS:
WINNERS: Jann Henebury, Dawn Tromp, Jan Fitzgerald & Bev Adams.
RUNNER UP: Norma Wilks, Lynn Puiatti, Kay Frewin & Lauren Matterson
3RD: Jan Martin, Alice Diamond, Annette Cross & Carolyn Buttsworth
WOODEN SPOONERS: Doreen Trigg, Helen Smith, Tania Walklate & Midge Gill
We were happy to see Shirley Daly who travelled from Sydney today with her daughter Natasha to say hello to all the girls. It was great to catch up Shirley!
I think a good day was had by all.
