We enjoyed a beautiful day of weather at the Village Green today with our golf partners Doug and Robin Incoll who were good company and pity about the golf. We did have some good highlights with Doug being our champion of the day, Peter getting a nice birdie at the 2nd, and me sinking three good putts and never mind what came in between.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford + 2 Ball Team Mixes Men and Ladies.
We had 81 starters with 1 visitor from overseas.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Doug Incoll (our champion) had 6/3 on the 10th, 5/3 on the 4th, 5/3 on the 13th and 4/3 on the 14th; Robin Incoll had 3/3 on the 14th; Peter Martin had a birdie on the 2nd and parred the 18th; Carolyn Buttsworth finished with the same ball she started with; Ray Buttswoth is coming back with a good win today; Don Bush had a nice 35 points; Helen Potter had a birdie on the 11th; Leonie Van Der Westhuizen had 4/4 on the 9th;Reynier Van Der Westhuizen enjoyed his day; Sheena Asken won nearest the pin on the 8th; Lauren Smith had 5/4 on the 18th; James Smith had a birdie on the 4th and he and Lauren beat the oldies; Sheila Williams had 3/4 on the 5th; Clyde Cruickshanks had a gobbler chip in on the 7th for a par; Lynda Hartley finished 18 holes; Helen Smith had a birdie 2/4 on the 12th with a gobbler chip; Garry Trigg was a steady player; Ron Puiatti turned up; Lynn Puiatti had no wipes; Kay Baillie putted well; Brent Frewin had a birdie on the 10th; Owen James had 4/4 on the 6th; my highlights were missing a huge tree on the left and avoiding a bunker on the right of the 6th to chip onto the green, sinking good long putts at the 7th, 9th and the 17th.
