HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Peter Martin had birdies at the 15th and 16th and finished with a nice 41 points; George Foster had a very respectable 36 points including some good 3 pointers; Vicki Foster was an improved player on the back 9 and had a great drive to the 12th green; the boys beat the girls for the keno ticket on the 11th hole which was not surprising with Peter turning in 22 and George turning in 19 however we did avoid being dormy 9 by squaring one hole; Kath Small had 4/4 on the 11th; Rosalie Dyer had 4/4 on the 13th; Mark Stimpson had birdies on the 2nd, 15th and the 18th and did not have any sockets; John Hazzard had 4 pointers on the 1st and 12th; Dick Bosley had a 4 pointer; Joyce Bosley had two 4 pointers; Lorraine Bignall had an exceptional back 9, parring it with 29 points including a birdie on the 10th finishing with 41 points; my highlights were few and far between, but I did score a couple of 3 pointers to contribute to our team score and finished with the same ball I started with.
I understand that the Masters Pennants played at Breakers today resulted in a win for Gosford 5 to Shelly Beach 2 1/2. Congratulations to our Masters Pennants Team. I will post a more detailed report when the results come through.
