F-Troop Morning Tea - Peter Martin, Duncan Dyer, John Harrison, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O'Brien, Jan Martin, Di Beechey, Dave Medcalf, Geoff Bridge, Anne Burgess.
When I said fix the water fountain I did not mean this. Somebody knocked it with a rake!
Pathway from the 14th Tee to the bush toilets clears of weeds.
There was a lot of clean up to be done around the course with all the wind over the holidays bringing down a lot of bark.
Even though today was a Public Holiday we still had a good number of volunteers to help out and we all worked through the showers to get the jobs done.
On hand were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O'Brien, Geoff Bridge, Peter Martin, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess, Jan Martin. John Harrison and Dave Medcalf also volunteered their time today to do some maintenance to the Club Airconditioning system.
The boys were kept busy all morning picking up loose timber, bark and general mess around the course and the car parks caused by the high winds over the holidays.
Di Beechey and Anne Burgess worked outside the clubhouse cleaning up the car parks, BBQ garden, underneath the clubhouse and during the showers worked inside the clubhouse cleaning out the function storage room and links room sorting out the club linen and organising stock.
I worked at the 14th Bush Toilet area cleaning at the toilet block and weeding the garden and path at the back of the 14th tee, checked the tranquility garden at the 6th, checked the hedge plants at the 4th, cleaned and refilled the water feature at the 1st, tidied up at the starters box, watered the pots in the Wedding Gazebo.
We enjoyed our morning tea after a hard morning's work.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
On a sad note - our deepest sympathy goes to Kath Payn, one of our lady members, who's husband Michael passed away yesterday after a long illness. Our thoughts are with you Kath.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
