We had a productive day for our F-Troop projects today with eleven helpers on hand.
We had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Geoff Bridge, Warren Gray, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Nigel Asken, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess & Jan Martin.
Duncan, Trevor, Don & Geoff worked on the security roof at the F-Troop Shed.
Warren & Rob were on loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course. It is bark falling time which also adds to the mess around the course.
Peter Martin was on pick up and back up on all the projects and helped Don Nicholls with the repair of the the taps in the Associates Room..
Di Beechey cleaned up the front car park and worked on removing the obsolete grasses in the Front Street Garden with the help of Anne Burgess and Trevor Harrison. This is a tough job as the plants have been firmly settled there for many years. Di and Anne were also on duty on Sunday cleaning up the car parks and watering the gardens.
Nigel Asken took on the daunting task of weed clean up in the 10th dam. The weeds have regrown at a rapid rate and will look much better after a good clean out.
My efforts today were spread over cleaning up at the bush toilets and watering the plants there, cleaning up at the Ladies 3rd tee and area around there, planting in some new colour at the wedding garden, watering the wedding garden plants and the potted plants in the area, trimmed the yellow hedge at the 10th tee and cleaned up the area around the 1st and 10th tees.
We all appreciated morning tea of giant muffins - Thanks Chef John!
All of the above projects are ongoing - the security area at the F-Troop sheds is proceeding well, the Front Street Garden is improving every week,
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
