Richard & Leonie have two new grandchildren
this year - a beautiful girl Piper and a handsome boy Tom
After a bit of a chilly start the day warmed up beautifully to a very pleasant day for golf. My playing partners were Sharon Anderson (winner of Div 2) and Val Anderson (Runner Up of Div 3) so I had great company and a good day.
The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford with Veterans in conjunction.
We had 60 starters.

WINNER: Marie Eddy - 35 points on a countback
RUNNER UP: Val Anderson - 35 points

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Narelle Medcalf had 4/4 on the 16th and won nearest the pin on the 14th; Bev Adams had 4/4 on the 13th; Judy Ruitenberg had 4/4 on the 14th; Rhonda Robertson scored some good pars; Sharon Anderson scored nine 3 pointers and played a nice steady 21 points front and back, won Div 2 with the help of her good partners bringing her home; Val Anderson was on the 9th green for 3 after a great approach shot; Sheena Asken's highlight was bringing Anne Burgess in with 34 points; Michelle Lalor played steady golf for her 36 points; Marie Eddy parred the 14th; Fran James scored a nice 39 points, 23 points the front 9 and had no wipes; Glennis English played steady golf for her 34 points and had good company; Susan Bourne had a 4 pointer at the 15th; Yvonne Cumming had a nice birdie at the 14th - hitting the pin and rebounding to 6 feet & then sank the putt and also had 3/4 at the 12th; Jan Walker had 4/4 on the 4th and 4/3 on the 16th; Kath Payn played steady golf; Georgina Lamb had 4/4 at the 15th and did some good putting for 38 points; Lorraine Bignall had a couple of pars in a row; Kay Baillie won nearest the pin on the 8th; my highlight was playing with my two winners and scoring 4 pointers at the 12th and the 17th.
