Golf - Tuesday 20th May 2008

The day started off a little brisk but soon warmed up to a perfect day for golf. My playing partners today were Pricilla Webster & Annette Dunk. It was a very enjoyable day out on the course with mixed fortunes during the match. I brought the winner home today - Annette won Division one and the much sort after monthly medal which was the highlight of our day. Our best hole of the day was the 14th where we were all in the hole for three. Definately a highlight for us.

The event of the day was a Stroke Monthly Medal. We had 81 starters.

DIVISION 2:

Winner: Marguerita Winer - 65

Runner Up: Sharon Anderson - 70 on a countback

3rd: Julie Craig - 70

Gross Winner: Leonie Casey - 93

Putting: Sue Suters - 26 putts

DIVISION 3:

Winner: Carmen Fitzgerald - 70

Runner Up: Doris Morris - 72

3rd: Val Iseppi - 73 on a countback

Gross Winner: Carmen Fitzgerald - 104 on a countback

Putting: Doris Morris - 30 putts

Highlights of the day as reported to me: Annette Dunk sank a nice gobbler on the 18th; Margaret Maclachlan had a birdie on 2A; Doreen Vines was happy that she played better than last week; Sharon Anderson had a birdie on the 18th; Hayley Krahe somehow managed to put her ball over the school farm fence & surprised a Llama by hitting it on the head with the ball. No prizes for that one Hayley.

Norma Presdee has taken over the reins of President following the resignation of Ronda Jordon & today was her first presentation. Congratulations Norma.
