There was no Ladies Golf Competition as we had our Christmas Luncheon and Presentation Day.

We had a good representation of members to congratulate our winners for 2024.

The Ladies Committee did a great job of decorating the tables and presenting the trophies.

F-Troop - Monday 9th December 2024

 

F-Troop Morning Tea - Sam Knox, Leeanne Binns, Don Nicholls, Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Scott (arborist), Carolyn Buttsworth (Frank Potter, Dave Medcalf, John Hollebon, Lyn Bates, Peter Martin, Jan Martin)

Massive clean up at the 1st and 10th tees - loose bark everywhere.

We did at least 6 Ute loads of rubbish off this area.

Just the slightest of showers this morning - not enough to stop us working.

We had 12 volunteers today which was very helpful with our projects. The winds have brought down massive amounts of bark and rubbish around the course from the trees.

On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Dave Medcalf, Frank Potter, Peter Martin, Don Nicholls, John Hollebon, Carolyn Buttsworth, Leeanne Binns, Lyn Bates and Jan Martin.

The arborist was here to remove tree stumps and the tree gang assisted with that and tree maintenance. Other projects worked on were hedge maintenance; rubbish pick up around the course; clean up of bark and rubbish at the 1st and 10th tees including blowing of the paths, weeding the gardens and removal of bark and sticks; weeding and watering the Ladies Garden at the 2nd Tee; planting in new plants at the Ladies 2nd Tee garden; weeding the garden behind the practice nets; mowing in front of cart shed garden; trimming plants at the cart shed garden; tidy up of the 10th garden; weeding the gardens at the clubhouse front steps. 

We have been donated another Ute to use around the course and that came in very handy today with such a big pick up to do.

We were able enjoy our morning tea rain-free which was appreciated after a hard mornings work.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

The Memorial Golf day in memory of the Late Richard Casey was well attended. The weather held off well with just the lightest of showers.

The golf event of the day was a team ambrose and the day was celebrated well.

 We had a hot start to the day which was relieved by some cloud cover in the afternoon.

Our playing partners today were Garry and Kay Baillie who were great company thank heavens because the golf was not great. We had no great golf highlights but the boys beat the girls for the Keno ticket on the last hole. I did finish with the same ball I started with which was my highlight for the day.

The Golf Event of the day was a Medley Single Stableford.

We had 57 starters with 4 visitors from Kooindah Waters, The SGA, Caloundra and Cromer.

Children’s Christmas Party tonight at the Clubhouse 

Angelique Scholberg was the lucky winner to have a chance at this weeks putting competition. Hit the hole and popped out.

The Children’s Christmas Party was well attended with Santa arriving on cue. They also enjoyed the swing room.
