Golf - Thursday 30th March 2023.

 

We are currently removing overgrown agave plants from our gardens. The plants are healthy and we are cutting back large, medium and small sizes. The agave plants can be collected from the side car park and are free of charge. We do not deliver but you can pick up from the car park at a time that suits you.

Jan and Elly Van Den Berg are no longer able to play golf - so they want to sell their cart which they have owned for many years. If you are interested in having a look at the cart let me know. Please note: the purchase of the cart does not include the current storage at the club - storage sheds are a separate issue and must be applied for through the club administration.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Green Ball Day - Best two scores to count.

 The Golf Event of the day was a Medley 4 Person Ambrose.

We had 101 starters with 3 visitors from Kooindah Waters, Outlands and Eastlakes.

 The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford - playing the same nine twice due to course renovations - Front nine.

We had 23 starters.

F- Troop - Monday 27th March 2023

 The weather was not kind for our F- Troop Projects today however we did have some very resilient members who were not put off by the weather.

On hand we had Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Duncan Dyer, Sam Knox, Peter Martin, Rob Benson, John Hollebon.

The planned painting of the front car parking was half achieved with the area being cleared of rubbish and prepared for painting, rubbish and loose timber pickup was abandoned but rubbish bins were cleared, Club  Hedge maintenance was done. The professional tree arborists worked on the removal of the dangerous tree on the 9th tee assisted by F-Troopers Sam Knox and Duncan Dyer.

An early morning tea was appropriate and appreciated after non stop showers.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Golf - Monday 27th March 2023

 No golf today - first day of the greens maintenance. The weather was not kind for the greens staff but some gentle showers will be good to settle the greens.

The programmed Ladies game of golf tomorrow at The Spring has been cancelled due to the weather forecast + no carts allowed on the course tomorrow which is disappointing but understandable given the current forecast.

This is a summary of my golf game today

Between a rock and a hard place

We were happy that the cloud cover today was only cloud cover and no rain. Our playing partners today were Michael Cheetham and Karen Askins who were great company. Michael did some smashing drives  which were the highlight of our day.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + 2Ball Team.
