Ron Gowing - celebrating his 80th Birthday this week - Congratulations Ron!
Our second week after Covid restrictions was very busy with catch up jobs presenting everywhere.
We had a great turn up of volunteers today - 13 starters which was a great help.
On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Sam Knox, Kevin O’Brien, Terry Coyle, Geoff Hulls, Rob Benson, Peter Martin, Don Nicholls, John Hollebon, Nigel Asken, Ron Gowing, Di Beechey.
Projects worked on today were tree maintenance, firewood preparation, loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course, hedge maintenance, removal of succulent plants from the base of the large tree at the front of the clubhouse to the 2nd green garden, tidy up of gardens and watering of gardens at the front of the clubhouse and the Wedding Garden, assisted with the tractor in the tree removal.
Morning tea was much appreciated and Ron Gowing celebrated his 80th Birthday today! I understand that his head was not too good at 6.30 am this morning following a big day yesterday. Congratulations Ron!
