We had a very nice day for our F-Troop work today.  The course was very busy being a Vets Day but we still managed to get some good projects done.

On hand we had Trevor Harrison, Kevin O'Brien, Rob Benson, Terry Coyle, Steve Hogg, Don Nicholls, John Hollebon, Ron Gowing, Peter Martin, Di Beechey, Jan Martin and we welcomed a new F-Trooper Steve Robinson who had his first day with us today.

Projects worked on today were Rubbish and Loose Timber pick up around the course, cleaning out of the gutter around the putting green, cutting up and removal of a large fallen branch near the first tee, trimming of the camellia trees at the 11th & 18th, delivery of firewood, repair and replacement of broken lattice work at the back of the clubhouse, Repairs to the wooden fence on the 18th, pick up of rubbish at the 18th; maintenance to hose reel and hose at the BBQ garden, tidy up underneath the clubhouse, wedding garden, practice nets and 1st and 10th tees,watering of gardens and lawns around the clubhouse, putting green, wedding garden and xanadu garden, cleaning of the bush toilets, tidy up of garden at the 14th greenspace and watering the gardens there, moving cycad palm from 14th greenspace to the Xanadu garden, watering the pots at the 6th, weeding and raking the 6th tranquility garden, a start made on tidying up the Ladies 13th garden.

We all appreciated our morning tea today and deserved our break after a good mornings work. Thank you for our morning tea goodies Barto!

Well what can I say - these days are all good fun - if you did not keep your sense of humour it would have been tragic.

The President's Side were victorious today with a decisive win over the Captain's Side even though there were a lot of red shirts out there, we obviously do not have a lot of Members who checked the blog to get a clear direction on what shirt colours they were to wear today!

HIGHLIGHTS as reported to me: John & Julie Hazard had a birdie on the 14th followed by a nice par on the 15th; Sheena Asken had a chip in gobbler on the 7th; Owen & Fran James enjoyed a nice score of net 73 except for a nine on the 8th; Chris Fuller chipped in on the 2nd; Sandra & Terry Coyle had an interesting day scoring a 9 on the 6th among other things; Michael Crookes & Di Beechey had a birdie on the 13th; Fay & Wally Bailey enjoyed some good putting; Leonie & Richard Casey enjoyed their day on the Village Green in the Sunshine; Don & Louise Bush tried out every bunker on the 14th; Helen Smith had a nearest the pin on the 8th and Garry sank the putt; Kevin O'Brien & Lorraine Bignall had 5 or 6 pars but could not catch Dick & Joyce Bosley's handicap; Dick & Joyce Bosley had a par; Narelle & David Medcalf enjoyed their day; Liz & Steve Robinson had a birdie on the 4th; Nigel and Jan Martin were a great team scoring a par on the 5th and the 12th, Nigel scoring a gobbler chip in on the 7th; my highlights were getting on the 12th green for 1 and getting out of the bunker on the 10th for 1, we do not want to discuss the 8th hole.
