We are off to the Grand Canyon today to stay for two nights, then on to all the other canyons and then to Las Vegas.  I am not expecting much in the way of Wi Fi so this may be the last report for a while.

The Golf Event of the day was a Men's Single Stroke - Monthly Medal.

We had 177 starters with 7 visitors from East Malvern, Maclean, Pacific Dunes, Palm Meadows, Wauchope and Wyong.

Golf -Friday 14th September 2012

 

 

We have arrived safely in Phoenix Arizona and are staying at Scottsdale right next door to McCormacks Ranch Golf Course. (how convenient).

 



We visited the Pro Shop today for retail therapy (50% discount of course) and have arrangwed for a game of golf tomorrow morning.  The temperature here today was 102 degrees F.  We did our washing when we arrived, had a swim at the pool and the washing was bone dry when we got back.  Whew!  It is really hot in this part of the country.  I believe that it will be cooler at the Canyons as they are higher up.  I hope so. We spoke to some golfers who come here every year and they said that it is 15 degrees cooler this year than last year!  As a golfing interest we saw a seven year old girl practicing today  She is fantastic for her age  and is  on scratch for her age division and is the top of the state of Arizona.  It was awesome watching her chip to the greenl

I have not received any F-Troop report for today but i am sure the Troopers were hard at their projects.

We are working hard on our travel projects here as you can see by the attached photos.

California is prodominately succulent gardens and I will be coming home chockers full of ideas for great succulent displays.
