We had beautiful weather to help us get on with our F-Troop projects today.
We had eleven volunteers which was very helpful so we did get some good work done.
On hand we had Sam Knox, Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O’Brien, Dave Scifleet, Rob Benson, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Ron Gowing, Bev Way and Jan Martin.
Projects worked on today were tree maintenance, Loose timber and rubbish pick up around the course, Firewood preparation and delivery, tidy up of paths underneath the clubhouse, paths to the 1stand 10th tees, putting green and practice nets, weeding and mulching of the gardens artgemäßem 6th tee and back of the 5th green, tidy up of the steps to the ladies 3rd tee, tidy up of the 5th tee gardens, tidy up of the 18th tee garden.
We really enjoyed our morning tea of fresh sandwiches in beautiful sunshine in the beer garden.

We are now half way through the Masters Pennant series and this is my first report as there wasn’t a lot to say after our first two matches except that we enjoyed the experience.
We were well beaten by a very strong Shelly Beach team but bounced back this week with a great 6/2 win over Everglades. The weather was great, the course was good and the Everglades boys were great sports and we all enjoyed the game.
We travel to Everglades this week for a rematch and hope for another win before taking on Kooindah Waters in our last two matches.

Sadly Brent Frewin passed away today after a battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Our deepest sympathy to Anne and family. Frewy will be sadly missed by our members as he has been a member here since his junior years and was a well respected member.
I understand there will not be a formal funeral - but a Memorial Day will be held at Gosford Gold Club at a date to be advised.
