MENS MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

 I understand that Duncan Brown is to be congratulated on his win today in the final of the Men’s Matchplay Championship played out by two of our Low Handicap players over 36 holes today.

Duncan Brown defeated Tony Van Der Kolk 2/1in a hard fought match.

Spring has sprung at Gosford Golf Course.

Playing golf in this beautiful spring weather is a pleasure. If your golf score has not been so good then take the time to soak up some of the beauty on our course and you will feel at peace with the world. Your golf will improve greatly with this distraction.

On hand today were Trevor Harrison, Duncan Dyer, Kevin O’Brien, Steve Hogg, Rob Benson, Steve Robinson, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, John Hollebon, Ron Gowing, Nigel Asken, Di Beechey and Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were Loose Timber and Rubbish pick up around the course, firewood preparation, Repair to support wall at the 7th tee, repairs to 18th fairway fence, hedge maintenance, tidy up in front of the clubhouse, trimming of shrubs at the gardens in front of the clubhouse, tidy up of the succulent wedding garden, removal of weeds from the dams, cleaning of the bush toilets, watering of gardens at the 14th green space gardens, pots at the Tranquility Garden at the 6th tee and the succulent wedding garden, tidy up of the 6th tranquility garden, finishing off mulch at the 2nd green garden.

Morning Tea in the sunshine was very pleasant and a nice finish to our busy day.
