We had an outstanding day for our first competition back after the summer break - we had 79 players participating in great weather (just a little humid).

My playing partners were Kim Cardiff & Annette Cross and we really enjoyed our day on the Village Green and were very happy to come in Runner Ups on the day.

The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies Team 3BBB vs Par 7.30 am shotgun start..

It was good to have an early start this morning for our projects as it did not take too long for the weather to heat up.

We had a good number of volunteers this morning which helped a lot with our projects.

On hand were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O'Brien, Steve Hogg, Garry Trigg, Rob Benson, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, John Hollebon, Ron Gowing, Di Beechey, Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today were filling in of pot holes on the cart paths around the course, Loose Timber and rubbish pick up around the course, Tidy up under the clubhouse, 1st and 10th tees, wedding garden and practice nets, maintenance to various hedges, cleaning of the bush toilets, watering the greenspace gardens at the 14th, tidy up of the 6th tranquility garden, watering the pots at the 6th, bike garden, ladies 9th tee, 9th green and wedding garden, tidy up of the hedge garden on the 4th tee, maintenance in the clubhouse., tidy up of the wedding gardens.

Our morning tea was very much appreciated after a hard morning's work.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Rhonda Robertson had a birdie - getting the putt for 2/4; Carolyn Buttsworth was a steady golfer - 36 points; Ray Buttsworth got a respectable 34 points with some good 3 pointers; Kevin O'Brien did not have any birdies but got a respectable 33 points; Judy Ruitenberg had 37 points and had a lovely day.My highlight was having a day with my grandies.

Junior Pennants Results - Saturday 2nd February 2019

Gosford played Shelly beach at everglades today. This is the first junior pennant team that has represented Gosford in many years. The team was beaten 5 1/2 to 1/2 but the standout performance was from Greg brien who has never played a competition match squared his match. Special mention must also to lachie sheddon who also played his first competition match. Although he went down 3 and 2 he played like a seasoned performer
