RainbowsπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŒ€☀️ - doesn't that mean rain clearing???

Our course was closed today due to the continuing showers on top of an already wet course.

So, no golf today but I do understand that there is hope for golf tomorrow assuming we are not hit with heavy overnight rain.

Tomorrow's competition has been changed from a stroke monthly medal match to a more friendly Single Stableford to encourage players to play.  Hopefully the drainage has done its job and the course will be playable even if it is wet in the low lying areas.

Check with the pro shop in the morning if in doubt.

Paula wIll be out of action for the "real birthday celebrations" so tonight was the night for a pre-birthday celebrations and by the way - the table had yet another haul from the meat raffle which seems to coincide with my photo of the table celebrations each week. ❤️πŸ˜πŸ’•

Well, they did not like the cake too much - there was some left over???
What are left overs????πŸ˜©πŸ˜– πŸ’”πŸ†˜

There was no winner present at the club tonight to collect the cash Member's draw so we bonus until next week. Is there any good reason why we should not see you here next week???

Golf - Thursday 4th August 2016

Sadly, no golf today as the course was closed.

More showers are predicted, but hopefully the course can recover quickly.

Not happy Jan!

F-Troop - Monday 1st August 2016

It takes a lot to cause me to miss out on F-Troop on Mondays but a viral chest infection did it this week  laying me flat for a couple of days.

We did have nine volunteers to help spread the work.

On hand were Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O'Brien, Geoff Bridge, Steve Hogg, John Hollebon, Peter Martin, Don Nicholls and Di Beechey.

The course was very busy with a large social group of players so the tree gang of Duncan, Trevor, Kevin, Geoff and Steve worked along the fenceline on the 2nd fairway removing rubbish and nuisance trees.

John Hollebon worked at the 10th tee gardens and with the help of Di Beechey mulched the gardens there.

Di Beechey helped John with the mulching, cleaned up and watered the gardens at the front of the club, 1st and 10th tees and Wedding Garden.

Peter and Don did rubbish pick up around the course.

Many thanks to Barto for the much appreciated morning tea after a hard mornings work.

I understand that there was some damage done to the small roundabout garden at the 17th green with the guard fence being knocked over and plants smashed. Another job to add to our list of maintenance.

YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
