We had a great day at Hawks Nest today in perfect weather.  

40 of us travelled by bus with no hiccups this time.  Everything went to plan thanks to Marianne Lanham's organisation skills and the friendly welcome from the Hawks Nest Ladies starting with morning tea on our arrival.

Our ladies fared well in the trophy count with a total of 103 starters on the day.

We had a difficult day to work today because if the inclemant weather and 150 social players from the AHA on the course for a shotgun start.

We had a skeleton group of volunteers due to the wet weather and illness etc but we still managed to get some good projects done.

On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Rob Benson, Kevin O'Brien, Geoff Bridge, John Hollebon, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.

As the boys could not easily work on the course they cut up and removed large branches and fallen trees along the 6th fairway creek side.

Anne and I cleaned up at the 14th bush toilets and planted and fertilised some new orchids in the orchid garden, planted in some donated plants at the 18th fence line, tidied up the 6th tranquility garden, cleaned up at the BBQ area and also the water feature area at the 1st.

Morning Tea of Huge muffins and savoury breads were welcome after we got rained out about 10 o'clock. Thank you Barto!

I understand that the course maintenance programme has been delayed for one week and will commence next Monday.

The girls are off to Hawks Nest tomorrow as programmed. Let us hope the weather is good there.

Golf -Sunday 23rd August 2015 - Newsflash! Golf Event Postponed!

The second round of the Team Series has been postponed until next Sunday 30th August 2015 due to prevailing weather conditions.

Please contact your team members and opposition members to ensure that everyone is aware of the change.

The Golf Event of the day was a Men's Single Stableford - 3 Grades

We had 97 starters with 10 visitors from Camden Valley, Dunheved, Everglades, Gawler, Kooindah, Magenta, Mullumbimby, Riverside Oaks, Wyong and PGA.

We had 92 Starters with visitors from Branxton, Beresfield, Below the Pin, Everglades, Howlong, Kurri Kurri, Mangrove Mountain, Qantas and Toukley.

Results of the NSW Trainee State Titles - Mitch Ballard

The results of the NSW Trainees State Titles over 4 rounds has been finalised.

Mitch had 79 in the third round to fall to 26th place but finished very strongly with -2 in the last round to finish 12th out of 110 players. 

Mitch was 1 of 5 players to have two rounds under par all week. He is very pleased and would like to thank all the Members who helped him raise money for the event.

CONGRATULATIONS MITCH! 

That was a great effort for your first attempt at the Trainee State Titles.  Well done - we are all proud of you.
