Golf - Tuesday 5th October 2010

We had a mixed bag of weather today getting overcast weather that fined up to hot & sunny that changed half way to heavy showers/light showers and then back to hot & sunny. The course was playing well & the past few days rain has not had any devastating effect on the fairways or the greens.
My playing partners were Lesley Gregory & Julie Hazzard who were great company. We did have some highlights during the day but were not too impressed with the heavy downpour of rain mid play. I am a fair weather player & my score indicated that.
The Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford with vets in conjunction and we had 64 starters.

Golf - Saturday 2nd October 2010

What a shame that the weather did not hold off for another couple of hours to get our golfers in dry and the wedding guests comfortable. The promised showers did arrive but the wedding and the golf went ahead as scheduled. During the wedding service the showers were only very light so hopefully nobody got too wet. The rain did not deter the golfers as you can see by the results we had some great scores in.
