The second round of the Singles knockout competition went ahead of the field today and the Event was a Single Stableford - Over the Field and we had 27 starters.

My playing partner today was Val Anderson and we had a close competition out there until the last few holes when I had to win the last three holes and give a shot on each. We had some good holes and some bad holes with my highlight being a birdie on the 5th.

Other highlights today came from Anne Burgess who scored a lovely 41 points which included birdies at the 5th, 6th and 15th. Trish Goulding had a birdie on the 5th

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY: I was not at presentation today to gather any highlights but I am sure there were plenty that I could have got from Sheena Asken with her 45 points - Sheena WAS on a handicap of 14 - Well done Sheena !; Another great score in today was from Allison Guthrie with 40 points - few highlights there as well I would think.

My highlight today was placing the garden bench seats in the new garden - getting it even closer to completion. Thank you to Evelyn Dixon for her donation of succulents for this garden.

Golf - Sunday 2nd August 2009

I am sorry for the late reports these last few days. We had a long weekend at Moree and checked out the golf course there. It is a lovely course and even more so as it does not have ANY bunkers and I liked that. Gosford members Graham and Anne Smith and Peter & I enjoyed a couple of days at the Moree course playing golf among other things including a family birthday celebration.

Meanwhile in Gosford......the Event of the day was a 2 Ball Team + Single Stableford.

We had 127 starters with 4 visitors from Branxton, PGA, Trundle & Wyong.
