The last couple of days have drenched the course with a couple of inches of rain that we did not really need. The electrical storm last night did not leave any damage on the course or bring any trees down.
Today was a big Charity Day for PANDORA which is a popular day with the members so it was a shame it was so wet.
We had nine volunteers today and managed to get some good work done. We had Duncan Dyer, Geoff Bridge, Trevor Harrison, Don Nicholls, Peter Martin, Garry Trigg, Di Beechey, Anne Burgess and Jan Martin.
The boys did some good clean up work around the starters box, trimming the overgrown shrubs and trees and cleaning down the roof and area around. After that they cleaned up the lower branches of the pine trees on the 18th fairway as well as doing some rubbish removal.
Di & Anne did some good weeding jobs at the Clubhouse area and the wedding garden as well as trimming the grasses and cleaning up at the BBQ area,
I started at the Bush Toilets, Ladies 3rd tee, helped clean up at the starters box, planted in some new plants at the Men's 10th tee (donated by Brian & Lesley Gregory), dead headed the roses at the putting green and dug out some of the grasses from the front street garden.
Morning tea was enjoyed by all - tea, coffee and cakes - Thank you Chef Alice!
The Starters Box is an ongoing project to get it to an improved state.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
