Golf - Tuesday 8th February 2011

We had a lovely cool comfortable day for golf today which was a welcome change to the heat waves of the last couple of weeks.

My playing partners were Anne Forrester and Rita Gilmour and we had a lovely day on the village (almost) green. They were great company and pity about my golf score. Anne was the star of the day hitting some lovely approach shots to the green.

The Event of the day was a Ladies Single Stableford.

We had 85 starters with visitors from North Carolina, Nambucca Heads and Terrigal.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: I did not gather any highlights today as we were the last team in. We did have some good highlights in our game with Anne Forrester hitting some great approach shots to the green and nearly scoring a birdie on the 11th.

My highlights were getting a 3 pointer on the 14th after a drive to the green and sinking some long putts to scramble in some one pointers.
