Wedding Garden maintenance completed
We had a very chilly start to our day this morning with a chill factor to the wind.
We had thirteen volunteers today which was a big help towards getting our projects completed.
On hand were Duncan Dyer, Kevin O'Brien, Rob Benson, Steve Hogg, Terry Coyle, Geoff Bridge,
John Hollebon, Garry Trigg, Ron Gowing, Peter Martin, Owen James, Di Beechey and Jan Martin.
Our projects completed today were moving the hedge plants on the 4th tee to a higher position on the tee to prevent distress to the plants; maintenance to the Wedding Garden area and Practice Net Garden; raking up of the fallen autumn leaves on the course that makes it so difficult to find lost golf balls; maintenance to trees around the course; tidy up of the wood heap; pick up of loose timber and rubbish on the course; trimming maintenance to the hedges; weeding and mulching of the green space at the 14th Bush toilets; cleaning of the bush toilets; planting in of a bulk amount of clivea plants donated by Owen James (who also donated his time to help me to plant them in the garden); new soil added to the hedge garden at the 4th and also to the Orange Trumpet Vine plants at the 14th Tee.
Morning Tea was appreciated after a hard morning's work. Our thanks to Barto for his continued support of F-Troop.
YES! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
