Today was the Ladies Opening Day of Golf for 2012 and thankfully the rain stayed at bay and allowed us to complete our first competition day without any problems. The course was still wet in places and the rough was very rough & hard to get out of. Moral of the story - "stay on the fairway" A lot of the bunkers were still full of water and out of play.
My playing partners were Lorraine Bignall & Yvonne Wilson & we were good players out of luck. We did have some very good highlights along the way.
The Golf Event of the day was a Ladies 3BBB vs Par.
We had 79 starters including Leola Mollica from Windsor (sister of our new member Debbie Fleeton)
