The hot weather arrived with a vengeance today with just the smallest of breezes to give us some relief.
Out playing partners were Ray and Carolyn Buttsworth who were great company. Highlights were few and far between but Ray was our best player scoring 4 nice pars on the day, the girls were beaten by the boys for the Keno Ticket on the 18th hole where Ray scored one of his aforesaid pars for a 3 pointer.
The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies.
We had 88 starters with 2 visitors from Terrey Hills and Woolooware.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Phillip Baillie had a birdie on the 10th and scored a nice 36 points; Garry Baillie enjoyed good company; Carolyn Buttsworth played steady golf for her 30 points; Ray Buttsworth parred 5/12/16/18th holes and sank some long confident putts; Wally Robertson turned with 20 points; Rhonda Robertson had 18 points on the back 9; Geraldine Turner enjoyed good company; Steve Turner parred the 1st and the 16th playing steady golf - the boys won the Keno ticket); Clyde Cruickshanks had birdies on the 1st and 10th; Sandra Coyle had 3 pointers on the 11th, 12th and 13th; Terry Coyle one putted the 5/6/7/8th holes; Terry Connor had a birdie on the 15th; Brett Margin had birdies at the 13th and 14th and parred the first 5 holes - scoring a nice 37 points; Leonie Kelly was a consistent player; Michael Crookes enjoyed good company; Sarah Doyle parred the 5th hole; Steve Robinson birdied the 5th and the 15th and scored a nice 36 points; Liz Robinson was amused by all the chatter amongst the boys; Robbie Whyte won the skins; Mark Stimpson had a birdie on the 14th; Alice Diamond had 5/3 on the 2nd and 5/3 on the 17th; Lauren Matterson scored 19 points on the front 9 and won the Ladies Singles Event; Lorraine Bignall had a birdie on the 5th with a good long putt; Col Matterson birdied the 1st and the 16th; George Foster had 4/4 on the 17th and 5/3 on the 18th; Wade Matterson enjoyed good company and played on other fairways; Kevin O’Brien had a birdie on the 10th; Vicki Foster had 3 pointers on the 2nd and 5th and was a consistent player; Phillip Wilson birdied the 16th; my single highlight was a par on the 12th.
