We only had small crew on hand today but managed to get some good projects done.

On hand we had Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Steve Hogg, Rob Benson, John Hollebon, Andy Henebury, Peter Martin, Don Nicholls, Sam Knox, Di Beechey & Jan Martin.


Projects worked on today were tree maintenance, hedge maintenance, Rubbish and loose timber pick up around the course, cleaning of the bush toilets and tidy up of the green space gardens, maintenance to garden furniture, tidy up around the clubhouse, 1st and 10th tees, tidy up of the gardens at the 12th green, pick up of garden rubbish, clean up of garden on the Men's 10th tee, clean up of the wall behind the Men's 10th tee,clubhouse maintenance, firewood delivery.

We enjoyed our morning tea after appreciating a not-so-hot day to work.

Some light showers did not interfere too much with our golf today but the course was wet from overnight rain which cut back the run.

I will add details to this post when the results have been published but our Gosford Golfers Marianne Lanham, Sheena Asken, Denise Bentlin & Sally Hopkins came in a credible second place and Marianne Lanham won nearest the pin.

We had a very busy day today with a lot of projects to be completed.  We were a bit shy on volunteers today having some members away on holidays.  We did welcome back Andy Henebury after an extended holiday.

The course was very busy today with Vet's players so we had to work our way around them.

On hand there was Duncan Dyer, Trevor Harrison, Kevin O'Brien, Terry Coyle, Steve Hogg,, John Hollebon, Peter Martin, Andy Henebury, Sam Knox, Di Beechey & Jan Martin.

Projects worked on today was timber pick up , firewood preparation, tidy up around the clubhouse, watering of gardens, cleaning of the Bush Toilets, watering of the greenspace gardens, hedge maintenance, clubhouse maintenance, trimming agapanthus and steletzias at the 2nd tee garden, watering the pots at the 6th tee, ladies 3rd tee, bike garden & Ladies 9th tee, tidy up of the tranquility garden at the 6th tee, weeding the native gardens at the 6th tee, watering the pots in the Wedding Garden.

My thanks to Anne Burgess for doing some garden watering at the clubhouse and 1st and 10th tees
yesterday.

We all appreciated morning tea after a hard morning's work.

Projects worked on today were tree maintenance, hedge maintenance, rubbish and loose timber pick up around the course, weeding and tidy up of the lavender garden, cleaning of the bush toilets, dead heading agapanthus at the 2nd and 14th gardens, tidy up at the 14th green garden, planting in of new ground cover plants at the 6th tee native gardens, watering of the pots at the 6th gardens, the bike garden, 9th ladies tee garden, 9th green garden, wedding garden pots.


We certainly earned our morning tea this morning after some good hard work.

We had an excellent day for golf today - beautiful weather all day which gave us one less excuse for bad golf.

Our playing partners were Garry & Doreen Trigg who were great company which saved our day as the golf let at lot to be desired.  We did have some highlights - the best of which was Garry's drive to the 5th hole that won nearest the pin where he went on to score a great birdie. Doreen played well enough to win a ball and was our champion of the day.

The Golf Event of the day was a Single Stableford for Men and Ladies + Team Best Score on each hole.

We had 78 starters with 2 visitors from Shelly Beach.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY as reported to me: Vicki Foster had 4/4 at the 3rd plus the girls won the Keno Ticket; Kay Baillie had 3/4 at the 14th; Rhonda Robertson parred the 9th and the 10th; Ray Buttsworth had 4/4 at the 1st; Carolyn Buttsworth - girls beat the boys 4/3; Louise Bush had a nice 41 points including 24 points at the turn; Neville Walker scored 3 pointers at the 1/11 and the 16th; Wally Loschi had birdies at the 2nd and the 9th; Phil Groves had a birdie at the 14th Kim Cardiff's scores were counted once; Ron Puiatti scored a fantastic 43 points with 2 wipes, scoring 5 birdies on the back 9 and turning with 27 points - birdies at the 10/11/1/4/15/17/8th; Garry Trigg had a birdie at the 5th and won nearest the pin; my highlight was having good company and managing to finish with the same ball I started with.
